METHOD OF PLAY

18-Holes, Individual Stroke Play Qualifier Followed by Top-64 Match Play

 

Stroke Play Qualifiers will be conducted at the following sites:

• Lincoln Park (West Course) - June 26th
• Muskogee Golf Club - June 29th

 

Players will be allowed to select their qualifying site during registration. A player can only try to qualify once. 

 

The defending champion will receive the #1 seed and the runner-up will receive the #2 seed regardless of participation in the qualifying rounds, assuming they both remain eligible for the event.

 

Each stroke play qualifier will be awarded a set number of spots to advance to match play. In the event of a tie in a Stroke Play Qualifier for a match play qualifying spot, there will be a sudden-death playoff to determine the qualifiers. 

 

Scores at stroke play qualifiers will determine qualifying positions for match play. Ties in stroke play qualifying for match play seeds will be decided by a blind draw.

 

The match play portion will be played at Southern Hills Country Club on July 10-12.

 

In the event of a tied match, (a) the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off and (b) the round is deemed to extend to as many holes as are required for a match to be won (Rule 3.2a (4)).

 

Conditions of the playoff will be announced on-site by the OGA Rules Committee.

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for this event and its divisions is limited to individuals who meet all of the following criteria:

 

• Must have an active OGA membership for the current year with a Handicap Index of 7.0 or less - Visit Your Local Facility
• Must have a residence in the state of Oklahoma.
• Must have created a Player's Account Through Golf Genius - Register Now
• Participants must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

Practice rounds for Southern Hills CC will only be available for those that make the Match Play portion of the Championship. Please call Southern Hills Country Club to make arrangements for practice rounds on a space available basis.
